Privacy Policy for Safetyleaders AS
1. Introduction
This Privacy Statement applies to Safety Leaders AS (hereinafter referred to as “we”) and explains why we collect information about you, how we use this information and how we take into account your privacy.
Our basis for processing personal data will vary, will consist of your consent or because it is required by law. Furthermore, it may be necessary to process personal data in order to fulfil an agreement with you or to fulfil a legal
Obligation. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
2. About personal data, consent and cookies
Personal data is information and assessments that can be linked to an identifiable individual. This can be your name, address, phone number, email address, IP address, and visitor and behavior history.
All processing of personal data, such as collection, registration, storage and disclosure is subject to special rules, including in the Personal Data Act. It is we who are responsible for ensuring that the processing takes place in accordance with the rules of the law. The Danish Data Protection Authority oversees compliance with the law.
Optional sharing of information
We only store certain information if you give us your active consent to collect it. Examples of this are information about you that may be used to show you advertising advertisements on third party websites based on products you have viewed in our online store. If we use such services, we ask you for your consent on our website, and we only collect the information if you give us your consent. If you do not decide on the question, we also do not collect the data.
3. What kind of information do we collect?
In order to provide the best possible service, we rely on collecting various types of information, including personal data about you. Below is an overview of how we typically collect personal data and what information this typically is.
We do not collect sensitive information.
a) Information you provide to us
When you register and/or shop on our website, you must provide some information stored by us, such as your name, email address, address and mobile phone number. We will also store information when you contact us later. The information you provide may also be enriched by means of lookup services or social media you provide us with access to.
b) Information we obtain through the use of our services
When you use our services, we record information about which services you use and how you use them. We collect information about, among other things:
i) Your device and your internet connection
We may record information about the device you are using, such as mobile/PC manufacturer, operating system and browser. We may also collect information about the connection to our services, such as IP addresses, network identifiers, cookies and unique identification files.
ii) Use of service or purchase
We record information about your use of the Services, such as which pages you visit, when you visit the Sites and what features you have used on the Sites.
c) Information we receive from other sources
We may receive information about you if you use any of the other services we offer on this website. We also work closely with third parties (e.g. business partners, providers of technical services, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics companies, search engines and credit reporting agencies) and may receive information about you from them. This also includes information that is publicly available.
d) Cookies and other content stored locally
When you use our services or visit our websites, cookies and other data are stored which can later be read by us.
e) Automatic assessments
Through analysis of your purchases and behavior, automatic categorization of you who visit Safety Leaders AS can be deduced.
4. What is the data used for?
We use personal data for the following purposes:
a) To provide and improve our services
We use personal data to deliver our goods (or services) to you. For example, we need personal data for you to be able to log in to our pages and, if relevant, to be able to pay for goods and services.
We also use personal data to ensure the best possible user experience for you, including by customizing the display of content to your screen/device and ensuring that the pages load as quickly as possible.
b) To customize the Services, provide you with recommendations and relevant marketing
We want to provide you with recommendations, product information and service customizations that are most relevant to you. This will be provided on the basis of your own behaviour, such as the pages you have visited, ads you have clicked on, or articles you have read, and on the behaviour of other users with similar usage patterns to you.
c) To improve digital communication and advertising
We use your personal data to improve our advertising. By creating a profile with us, you agree to targeted advertising through programmatic purchases and targeted advertising through social media where your personal data will be used in the purchase of such advertising.
d) To prepare statistics and understand market trends
We compile statistics and map market trends. We do this in order to improve and further develop our product offerings and services. As far as practicable, we attempt to do this with anonymous information, without us knowing that the information is linked specifically to you.
e) To prevent misuse of our services
We use personal data to prevent misuse of our services. Abuse may include attempts to log into other people's accounts, attempted fraud, “spamming”, hating, chicanery and other actions prohibited by Norwegian law.
5. Sharing information
In some cases, we share personal data with other companies that perform services on our behalf. This is primarily to give you a safer and better shopping experience. Here are the main examples:
a) When others perform services on our behalf
For example, web and marketing agencies to run your online store and show you targeted marketing as well as create campaigns. They are not allowed to use this personal data for anything other than to perform services for us. If you have given us your consent to the sharing of information, the data may be shared with the following third parties:
• Google Analytics, Google Ads, Cookiebot
Information about the usage patterns of the website (including which pages are visited and when) is shared with Google which is associated with you as a user in a partially anonymised manner. We will not be able to link this to you personally, but we may use the information to see general usage patterns on our website and to be able to send you tailored advertising within Google's network in the form of image and text ads on third-party websites.
• Facebook Messenger (chat)
If we use a chat solution from Facebook, Facebook will be able to identify you on our website so that you do not have to provide your name and Email to initiate a chat with us. We do not store this data on our website, but the chat history will be stored on our Facebook Messenger account. The log can be removed at your request if you contact us.
• Facebook Pixel
This site may use the Facebook Pixel, which is a cookie that tracks your visit to our website, so that you can later receive advertising from us via Facebook's network.
If you send an Email to us, it will be stored on our E-mail server. A copy of the E-mail may also be stored in a database as well, to ensure that we have received your message should the E-mail fail to arrive. This database is deleted periodically.
b) In case of suspicion of an offence, information may be disclosed to public authorities upon request. We may also disclose information in the event of suspected fraud, or information necessary to clarify specific disputes.
7. Deletion of personal data
We are required by law to retain certain personal data. Examples of this are:
• Bookkeeping Act
• Order data according to the right of withdrawal
• Order data according to guarantees
You have the right to delete all of our information about you at your request, unless we are required by law to store it. You can apply regarding this termination of your customer relationship, by sending us an Email (See “Contact Information”).
8. Security of personal data
We use appropriate security measures to protect personal data under our control from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal.
9. Especially about marketing in email and SMS
If you have an active customer relationship with us, we may send you marketing by email or by other electronic means of communication in accordance with Section 15 of the Marketing Act. This includes newsletters and other enquiries regarding content, services, offers, promotions and events from us, via email, telephone, SMS and social media.
However, if you do not have an active customer relationship, we will only send such marketing if you have given us your consent to this. Your personal data may also be used to personalize these communications.
You can unsubscribe from marketing requests at any time easily and free of charge through the unsubscribe feature in your emails/SMS.
10. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We will be able to update or change the Privacy Policy from time to time.
In the event of major changes, we will inform you about this.
12. Right to complain
You have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, which in Norway is the Danish Data Protection Authority.
